Jim, I'm sending you this book (Theodore Roosevelt, Hunter Conservationist, by R.L.Wilson) as a small token of my appreciation for what you do, standing up for the sport, activity, way-of-life called hunting. Hunting is one of the most precious things to me and my family. To us it's a way of life. However, we are acutely aware that what we are accustomed to enjoying is at risk in the future. You and what you do are so important! Keep up the great work!

A couple of these pictures are of brand new first time hunters my son, Tyler and I, have very successfully introduced to hunting this season. Tyler's wife June, hunted with him and took the beautiful antelope near Malta. It was her first time hunting and first game animal harvested. The young lady with the doe mule deer is our grand-daughter, Rikki Anderson, who is attending MSU in Bozeman and went with me on her first hunt. As you can see she took a super, good eating doe mule deer, her first ever game animal.

Compared to what you do, these were small but important steps towards preserving our heritage.

The picture of Tyler and me with his elk shows an important event which goes a long way to bolster the father son relationship. This is Tyler's first elk taken with a bow. It was taken on opening day of archery season this year. It was bugled in, with a three-quarter moon shining in the dawn sky right over his head. It was bugled by the father.

If you already have this book, please pass this copy on to someone else or an organization who you know is working effectively to preserve our hunting heritage. Thanks for look out for all us hunters. ~ Mike Trevor

Jim Posewitz: The conservation movement has many heroes. Most are not publicly recognized until they are long dead. Fortunately Jim Posewitz is getting recognition while he is still alive and and shaking things up. As a young game warden and hunter educator Jim's words, "A society or culture is ultimately measured not by what it develops or consumes, but rather by what it has nurtured and preserved." rang loud and clear with me. Now that I work with Jim at Orion, I know he lives those words everyday. ~ Eric Nuse, Executive Director
